Geology
Geological setting:
The lower surfaces of Ackerman Ridge are covered with young till; the thin till overlying glacial ice near the glacier margin thickens eastward with increasing distance from the glacier but the degree of weathering in the higher elevation till remains essentially the same; the till is unweathered and indicates the extent of late glacial retreat of the Scott Glacier
Patterned ground:
Surface weathering or surface features:
Angular unstained clasts with little pavement development
Ultraxerous; snow in adjacent patterned ground cracks
Biological activity:
Nil Observed
